What is a SOBR™ Home?

SOBR homes are NARR compliant, 12 step based “recovery residences” that follow a nationally recognized set of standards and ethics. There are four (4) levels of SOBR living and are as follows:

  • Level 1: Peer Run
  • Level 2: Monitored
  • Level 3: Supervised
  • Level 4: Service Provider

Operating a sober living home presents challenges that aren’t obvious to the casual observer or to the hopeful entrepreneur. Too many people open sober living homes without adequate preparation and training. That can cause great harm to vulnerable residents struggling to stay clean and sober. To be successful, you need a broader set of interpersonal skills than is required in most businesses.
